  PCs and Networks

Most companies today - even very small companies - use computers for some aspects of their business.

The business owner may not get involved with the technicalities of the equipment and software that he has purchased, preferring instead to employ members of staff to handle that.

But how is the owner going to know that he is getting the best use out of the investment?

It is a fact that most users of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) have only a basic working knowledge of these extremely powerful business tools. A few simple lessons to improve their knowledge would open up new possibilities to make the business more efficient. Having spent quite a lot of money on this software, it surely makes sense to maximise the return on the investment.

If you have more than 3 or 4 PCs, they should be set up on a network, enabling data to be centralised and efficiently shared, together with Broadband Internet connections. Such centralised data can be more easily and reliably backed up on a regular basis, protecting your business.

We work closely with an IT company (they look after our server network and are at the same address as us) who can offer a range of services. They have proved to us how our own systems could be improved, and, following implementation, we now have a much more efficient office.
